Map of Byron Bay Headland and Lighthouse Walk
This walk will take you ones around the Byron Bay headland and lighthouse in about 1.5 hours. You will see dolphins, whales (June - September) and a lot of other wild life. This walk is demanding and should only be done with bottled water and sunscreen. However, there is a shorter walk possible if you park your car at Wategos Beach and make your way up to the Lighthouse and back. Unfortunately, Google Maps thinks the headland is under water, I can assure you that it’s actually 95m above sea level and normally a little more windy than wet. You may want to switch to satellite for a better view.
