Adult Yoga

Linda Bailey (Principal) – Shanti Yoga is a system of Yoga that represents the science & spirituality of unity, authored & developed by Yoga Master Shanti Gowans. Shanti is a Sanskrit word meaning peace.

Aesha Kennedy – Aesha’s classes offer students a relaxed, meditative flowing style of Yoga. This includes breathing awareness, warm-up stretches, flowing sequence of yoga-postures, and ends with meditation. Suitable for all levels of practice, individual needs are honoured and postures modified to suit.

Madhava –  Madhava began his journey into Yoga in 2004 at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in London. An immediate resonance with the teachings took him to Kerala, South India for further practice. The deep connection with this tradition helped his personal practice to evolve very quickly and in 2005 he took the International Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course (TTC).

He devoted the last 6 years of his life as a voluntary resident staff at the Sivananda Centre in London. This experience demanded a disciplined yogic lifestyle where a daily spiritual practice consisting of asanas, pranayama, meditation, mantra chanting, kirtan, yogic diet and all aspects of Yoga was required. During this time, through selfless service (karma yoga) he taught many students from around the world from beginners to teachers’ level. 

Madhava teaches with great care, enthusiasm and precision. With this invaluable experience, he aims to continue sharing the teachings of Yoga in a pure and traditional way. 

 

Children's Yoga

Shanti Yoga for children children opens up a world of peace, creativity, joy and discipline to children from all walks of life. This knowledge is a wonderful treasure for children everywhere, as throughout life they will get the best out of everything they do & enjoy glowing health. Yoga is a system of many different things to practice and ways to think and feel, which make the body and mind strong and healthy and help children to be happy, peaceful and full of good energy
